Faculty of Dentistry
The aim of our program is to graduate well-equipped dental professionals who have mastered preventative oral hygiene measures, have excellent application skills, and have a strong foundation in basic medical sciences, including education, research, and patient treatment in the field of dentistry. Our students will have the opportunity to plan and apply dental treatment using a patient-centered interdisciplinary approach based on evidence-based data before graduation. Our goal is to graduate young colleagues who follow innovations, have critical thinking skills, improve themselves continuously, adopt the highest ethical standards, and who have a great potential to be beneficial to themselves and the society.
All theoretical lectures and laboratory and clinical practices will take place in our own building located in our university campus. Pre-clinical practices and clinical trainings are performed in the same building which is located in the Center of Research and Training for Oral Health Education. The center is equipped with 117 dental units, 6 local operating rooms, 2 general operating rooms, a 12-bed inpatient service, a barrier-free clinic, and an oral radiology clinic also equipped with digital dental tomography. Our clinical facilities are specially designed for our students allowing them to observe and assist their supervisors and to experience teamwork in the atmosphere of an advanced dental hospital.
In preclinical laboratories, there are one pre-clinical practice desk and a phantom simulator in the Artificial Patient Laboratory are provided for each student, in addition to a dental unit allocated to each student for the entire clinical training period.
In line with our curriculum, integrated clinical training is provided to our 4th and 5th year students in two separate student clinics with a total capacity of 39 dental units.
