Interior Architecture and Environmental Design
Interior Architecture and Environmental Design is a discipline that focuses on designing the interior spaces of old or new private buildings and develops creative solutions to issues related to spatial quality of public and semi-public spaces. Our program has adopted a curriculum that includes restoration of buildings, reuse and renovation projects, projects that require creative solutions taking into account the demands of the local environment and the building physics.
Interior Architecture and Environmental Design students benefit from our unique and multidisciplinary education. We keep our students informed about scientific and technological developments in fields related to interior architecture and encourage them to acquire skills that will help them to adapt the field and become life-long learners. We graduate highly employable, knowledgeable, and qualified designers thanks to our extended and enriched curriculum informed by architecture, engineering, environmental design, art history, and graphic design fields.
Our program's goal is to graduate designers who are respectful toward social and cultural rights of societies, cultural heritage, and the environment and who take the relationship between interior architecture and urban fabric, effective use of resources and sustainability seriously as these are some of the most significant and prominent issues of our times. Moreover, our graduates are well-informed about national and international values and standards about architectural design and art, can follow new developments, and have a strong sense of professional ethics and responsibility.
