Nursing

Nursing is a profession that protects and improves the health of individuals, families, and society. It determines the health care needs of healthy and sick individuals and meets these health care needs effectively. Nursing is directly related to human life and the life quality of individuals and the society. For this reason, nurses should be seen as key health personnel in protecting, maintaining, improving, treatment, and rehabilitation of both individuals and society. 

The main goal of our nursing program is to train and educate health professionals who can serve as effective and efficient members of the health team with their knowledge, skills, and attitudes, who are responsive to all kinds of developments and changes affecting individuals' health, who meet the nursing needs of individuals, families, and the society with a holistic view and a problem-solving approach, and who take an active role in nursing education, management, and research. Our graduates hold themselves to the highest ethical standards and consider themselves as life-long learners. Last but not least they can analyze, evaluate, and apply the most recent scientific developments successfully. 

Our program prepares our students for their professional careers by our excellent curriculum, strong academic staff, high-tech labs, and scientific and up-to-date approach and methods. Our program also plays an essential role in supporting our students' personal, social, and intellectual development by organizing a variety of social and cultural events and activities. Moreover, we provide our opportunities to students to see other countries and take courses abroad as part of the Erasmus Program.

The high demand for nurses allows our students to find good jobs in both public and private institutions. Our graduates can be employed by both public and private institutions that offer preventative, curative, and rehabilitative treatments, for example as clinical nurses, workplace, nurses, school nurses, administrative and supervisor nurses. Moreover, they can open private practices. Our graduates who want to pursue an academic career can apply to national and foreign graduate schools and upon completion work at universities as academicians. Since our nursing program is designed according to the European Union guidelines and standards, our graduates earn a diploma that allows them to freely perform their jobs in European Union countries.
